Warming Up Your February

How are you keeping warm this February?

It's hard to believe that this month is halfway over, and we've already hosted two events! We had a second round of Create + Cultivate 2020 Vision on February 5th, and last week, we celebrated Galentine's Day on February 13th. It's so awesome to witness the connections and bonds that these women are creating at every event, and I'm happy to play a small part in it. But just because our In Her Circle events are done for the month doesn't mean you have to freeze your cute lil booty off! There's still plenty to do with your new gal pal around the city this month to stay warm and connected:

  • Enjoy YYC Hot Chocolate Fest! Invite a new friend to try out some yummy hot chocolate from a number of cafes, including Hexagon Cafe (I've heard they have one of the best hot chocolates in the city, and I am bringing some friends there this weekend).

  • Try a baking class! While there are plenty of places around the city to enjoy a baking class with a friend, my favorite spot is CAKEify Studio. It's the first ever DIY cake decorating studio in Canada, and Deb's creations has converted me from being a cake hater to a cake lover (as long as it was made by her, of course).

  • Create your own summer in winter! It's time to bust out the serving dishes and your favorite summer dress! Host a summer themed potluck at your house and invite your new friends, neighbors, co-workers, whoever and warm up with some delicious food and shared laughs.

  • Go to a local exhibit! There are so many great exhibits all around the city, but one that is getting a lot of buzz is the Museum of the Moon at Contemporary Calgary. Entrance to the exhibit is only $10, and the reviews have been pretty spectacular.

These are just a few ideas to help you get started and to help encourage you to continue fostering connections that you've made at previous events. While our lives can be hectic, it's important to make time for real life connections and to let your hair down around people who support and care about you.

Here is an inside look into what is coming up over the next couple of months!

What women are saying about our events... It was so inspiring to be around like-minded women, supporting each other, women who just want to grow and become the best versions of ourselves in this life. Thank you In Her Circle for putting on such an amazing workshop! I cannot WAIT to see you and to connect with you in 2020!
