1. What makes you happy?
Spending quality time with the Lord and my family
2. What advice would you give your younger self?
Not to stress so much about the future, it’s all going to work out because God has a wonderful plan for your life. Even though it won’t always be easy, it will be well worth it.
3. If you could magically solve one problem in the world, what would that be?
That everyone would learn how to love your neighbour. I truly believe if we loved our neighbour as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 22:39, most - if not all of the worlds problems would be gone, hunger, war, abuse, poverty, human trafficking, etc.
4. How did you find your purpose?
Through scripture, two scriptures to be exact. John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy. I came that you may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance until it overflows” and the next scripture “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11
I had been Christian all my life, but it wasn’t until October 2018 (after hearing teachings on these verses) that I discovered the truth of who Jesus really is and was born again. And I realized that if I could go my whole entire life not really knowing these things about Jesus and God’s promises, then there were other women out there as well who probably have never heard this either. So my purpose is, through jewelry to share these truths with other women, to glorify God and to give back to those in need.
5. What is your biggest pain point in building relationships?
The time to build them well. With everything in life you need to spend time nurturing relationships to see them grow.
6. What have you learned from past friendships that didn't work out?
Yes I have had a few friendships that didn’t work and the one thing that I think was at the heart of them failing is not leaving space for differences of opinions. Not everyone is going to agree with your opinion (including your friends) and that is fine. Actually it is more than fine, because hearing and acknowledging your friends differences of opinions helps you grow and become more empathetic towards them and that view point. It doesn’t mean you all have to agree, but learning to value each other’s differences can go along way in building and maintaining friendships.
7. Who are your SHEros (AKA female heroes)?
Moms, Grandmas and Aunties. All these women have such important roles in raising and influencing children. I am so blessed that I have had many of these SHEros in my life who have helped me to become the women I am today.
